Diego Biasi

Diego è l’Amministratore Delegato nonchè socio Co-Fondatore di Quercus Investment Partners Limited. Opera in campo finanziario e dell’investment banking da oltre 17 anni, dedicandosi al settore delle energie rinnovabili sin dal 2009.

Diego vanta una vasta esperienza nell’ambito dei finanziamenti transfrontalieri avendo collaborato con imprese e istituzioni collegate alla municipalizzazione e ai governi in tutta Europa.

Prima di fondare Quercus, ha avviato una riuscita attività di consulenza ed è stato, tra l’altro, Managing Director di Commerzbank e Banca IMI a Londra, dove ha curato la due diligence in una serie di complesse operazioni di corporate finance, fusioni e acquisizioni. La sua carriera ha avuto inizio presso Caboto Securities, il reparto britannico di investment banking di Banca Intesa.

A Quercus, Diego ha sviluppato una strategia d’investimento in asset reali gestendo con successo il lancio di due fondi e costruendo un portafoglio di 22 impianti strutturando finanziamenti per oltre 300 milioni di euro, e con un IRR del 9% circa.

Nel 2011, Diego ha portato Quercus in ForVEI, una joint venture con CDC, Foresight, Adenium Capital e VEI Capital, la quale ha creato un significativo portafoglio di impianti fotovoltaici in Italia per circa 70 MW.

Nel 2012 ha negoziato con successo la partecipazione di Quercus in una joint venture con UKGIB (UK Green Investment Bank) , di proprietà del governo britannico, per la costruzione di TEG Biogas, la prima centrale di digestione anaerobica e compostaggio di scala commerciale nella zona londinese.

Diego è laureato in economia e commercio presso l’Università Ca‘ Foscari di Venezia, dove è stato invitato in diverse occasioni a tenere lezioni in economia dei mercati finanziari.
